I offer repair and set up services for all types of guitars, both acoustic and electric.  I also repair basses, banjos and mandolins.  I have worked on vintage Martins, Gibsons, Rickenbacker and other old instruments as well as many brands of newer guitars  that are in need of repair or setup.

In my years of repairing musical instruments my customers have been happy with my work because I won't take on that which I feel is beyond my capabilities and I don't consider the job done until it is done right.  As a builder I have learned to pay attention to detail and I pass this skill on to my repair work.  My rates are fair and I guarantee my work as well.

Below are some prices to give you an idea of what your repair might cost. Bear in mind they are approximate. Your repair could be less, or more depending on the condition of the instrument.

ACOUSTIC

SET UP $45.00

NEW NUT- $65.00

NEW SADDLE- $50.00

RE-GLUE BRIDGE- $100.00

REPLACE BRIDGE- $150.00

HANDMADE BRIDGE- $250.00

REPLACE TUNERS- $50 and up.

FRET LEVELING ("Filing", "Dressing"...) $100.00 and up.

RE-FRET- $250.00 Add $50 for fretboards with binding. - price may vary depending on condition of fretboard etc.

NECK RE-SET- $300.00 and up.

CRACK REPAIR- $20 per inch or by quote (particularly for shattered areas).

HEADSTOCK CRACK- $150.00 and up

INSTALL "UNDER SADDLE" PICK UP - $75.00 - 150.00.

DIAGNOSE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM - Shop minimum. Time is money.

HUMIDIFY GUITAR - Shop minimum.

ELECTRIC

SET UP $55.00+

NEW NUT- $65.00

REPLACE TUNERS- $50 and up. Seems like a simple job, but can he fraught with nuanced complications.

DIAGNOSE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM-Shop minimum

REPLACE JACK-$25.00 plus part Note: Archtop guitars will often incur $50.00 upcharge to remove and re-install wiring harness for all electrical work.

REPLACE PICKUP-$50.00 per pickup

REPLACE VOLUME/TONE POT -$25.00 per part, plus part

ROUT NEW POCKET-$50.00 PLUS install pickup price

REPLACE SWITCH-$25.00- $50.00 per switch, plus part.
